Working with MFC Social Environmental Performance Consulting Ltd and in association with our national partner Holísticos, and undertaking consultancy services for Focus Education, we prepared an international lender-compliant ESIA for the development of the new faculties.​

The Ministério do Ensino Superior, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (MESTCI) identified the need for the provision of new infrastructure that could respond to the increased demand for the improvement of higher education in Angola. The development of a new campus on land designated for urban expansion, with room for further development was considered a key priority to both improve the existing facilities offered by UKB and to serve as a catalyst to attract other investment to the area.​

The ESIA aligned the project with international lender requirements and good industry practice, safeguarding environment and social impacts, whilst the overall project increased educational opportunities for the people of Angola.​​
