Tom is an accomplished environmental consultant whose career has evolved from biodiversity assessment and management to major project oversight and direction.

As a manager or director of challenging projects, he brings organisational structure and consistency, with an emphasis on programme and delivery. He has held senior management and environmental roles in the development and delivery of nationally significant projects across Africa, Asia and Europe, including the UK. With his technical background he takes a keen interest in nature-based solutions and the evolution of a nature-positive economy. Tom has a specific interest in identifying biodiversity related risks to business operations and projects and designing proportionate solutions that benefit businesses and communities, and make a positive contribution to the biodiversity and climate crisis.

As a former Executive Director and business lead of The Ecology Consultancy, Tom also brings invaluable experience of operational design and governance, and enjoys motivating teams and leading them to success.

Outside Earth Active Tom loves spending time with his young family including the dogs and cats and when time allows exploring the four corners of the UK with the tent, or America's Boundary Waters with the Canoe.
