Neil Jeffery is Interim CEO at Earth Active. He joined in October 2024 to lead a major change management process to prepare Earth Active for its next phase of growth. 

Neil has extensive experience in change management, having taken various companies focused on service delivery in emerging markets through significant transformation processes. Neil was CEO of Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) from 2014 to 2022, a global company expanding water and sanitation services for the low-income customer segment in emerging markets. During his tenure, WSUP reshaped its service delivery and business offering, resulting in the number of urban residents in African and Asian cities benefitting from these services expanding from 3 million to 30 million. This change represented a meaningful contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Neil previously restructured social enterprises delivering low-income services in the energy and agricultural sectors. 

Neil spent the first two decades of his career advancing international policy, working in Washington DC and Latin America. He is a published author with the School of Management, Cranfield University. He holds an MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and an MA from the University of Cambridge. 

Neil is presently a Non-Executive Director at Social Finance, with a focus on building their business offering in emerging markets. He is also an advisor to a US investment fund providing capital for early-stage water businesses in North America and emerging markets. 

Outside of work Neil enjoys hiking, running, cycling and cooking.
