Environmental and Biodiversity Management, Safeguards and Due Diligence

Jason is a biodiversity specialist and ESG consultant currently delivering biodiversity assessment, management and advisory works for lenders, investors and corporates. Jason has also delivered a number of due diligence projects focused on the governance and management systems of protected area proponents.

Prior to Earth Active, Jason worked for over 5 years in Fauna & Flora International's (FFI) Conservation Finance and Enterprise team, supporting project and programme delivery of market-based mechanisms for conservation in emerging markets; from local community sustainable livelihood development to REDD+ projects.

Currently specialising in developing project safeguards for large scale finance institutions in compliance with international requirements, primarily IFC Performance Standards. Delivering a range of products such as biodiversity impact assessments, critical habitat assessments, biodiversity management and action plans, and biodiversity monitoring programmes for a range of infrastructure types. Jason was recently a key part of a team delivering a biodiversity roadmap for the food and drink sector for a large-scale UK retailer.

Jason loves the great outdoors and is an avid ski and hiker. When he's not up a mountain you'll find him supporting (often from behind the sofa) Arsenal Football Club.
