Development Finance Institutions

Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) are subject to the highest levels of ESG scrutiny. As such they require a robust but tailored approach to meeting environmental and social safeguards in a timely and enduring way.

DFIs must identify and address material ESG issues, whilst enhancing project benefits and achieving Broad Community Support.  To do this you require a unique combination of technical expertise, local cultural understanding, practical problem solving and organisational process insight.  Avoiding the political landmines and protecting an organisation’s reputation in what can often be challenging circumstances can be more of an art than a science.  Being supported by experienced ESG specialists can be critical in achieving this and reaching financial close.

Because we understand this, Earth Active brings together bespoke teams (including former DFI employees), with extensive experience in project financing from across the industry. Combining this expertise with local insight from our wide network of in-country partners, allows you to focus on delivering the societal benefits that you strive for.

Earth Active provides specialist ESG support to DFIs around the world.  We help your teams deliver effective investment with robust safeguards.
