Ground-breaking agriculture in Mongolia

Earth Active is very pleased to be supporting Mongolia’s leading business conglomerate – MCS Holding Group – advising their ground-breaking new agribusiness division on E&S matters.  

Metagro is a major vertically-integrated agriculture business centred around a 10,200 hectare farm in eastern Mongolia, using no-till farming practices on this land to produce fodder for its new-build 5,000 head cattle feedlot and upcoming 3,000 sow pig farm.  The scale and complexity of Metagro’s operations are pre-eminent in Mongolia and create a model of regenerative agriculture and high-tech meat production to enhance food security and food quality in Mongolia. 

Our international and national team of five topic experts, led by Guy Reed, completed two weeks in-country reviewing Metagro’s operations, working alongside experts from the IFC - International Finance Corporation, which is a long-term investor in the MCS Group.
