The role
Earth Active are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated International ESIA / ESDD Consultant to join our growing team in a full-time capacity to support our exciting portfolio of work across the Africa, Central Asia and other emerging markets. This is a unique opportunity to join an internationally recognised team who actively seek out the most interesting and challenging projects. You will have at least 10 years relevant experience and a keen interest in International ESIA, ESDD and project management.
You will be part of a dynamic team of ambitious consultants and advisors, specialising in Environment, Social, and Governance issues and work alongside globally recognised specialists. The role will focus on:
• Management of International ESIA projects, working with our diverse clients, international and national consultants, communities, governments, NGOs and many other stakeholders
• Management of International ESDD Projects for various sectors working either directly for lenders; or on behalf of developers to support financing negotiations and evolving compliance and disclosure requirements
• Supporting the team in the delivery of significant and complex projects including the analysis of potential impacts and management of reporting
• Shape a clear line of sight through supply chain, from production to C-suite.
Supporting business development within the core team
• Contributing to the delivery of Earth Active’s wider portfolio of ESG projects
• Contribute and manage successful delivery of proposals and wider business development needs
The successful candidate will have:
• Degree(s) in the relevant environmental or social discipline, preferably masters
• 5-12 years’ relevant experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of the IFC performance standards
• Successful track record in both international ESDD and ESIA management
• Experience in working directly for a developer during construction, ideally within an Environmental and Social Management positions is preferred
• Excellent organisation, management and communication skills
• A highly ambitious attitude and enjoys responsibility
• Permanent residence in the UK
